A QMS, or Quality Management System, is sometimes defined as;

“A system by which an organisation aims to reduce and eventually eliminate nonconformance to specifications, standards, and customer expectations in the most cost effective and efficient manner.”

or

“A set of co-ordinated activities to direct and control an organisation in order to
continually improve the effectiveness and efficiency of its performance.”

Your QMS / Quality Management System for wholesale and good distribution practice will include your standard operating procedures and outline change management, handling deviations, and CAPA – corrective action, preventative action, as well as everything else in between.

Building a great QMS / Quality Management System  can take weeks, months or years, and should be subject to regular review and continual improvement.

Your Quality Management System is the backbone of your operation and lays out everything you do, and should be in a language easily understood by personnel and help you ensure product quality and patient safety.
